Welcome to Year 6 OAK CLASS

What are we studying this Autumn term?


We will be exploring many interesting texts including 'The Saga of Erik the Viking', 'Macbeth' and 'Viking Boy'. 


We will be following the White Rose Maths planning but this will be adapted to suit the needs of the pupils. A maths overview can be found on the link below. 


The two Science topics which will be doing this term are 'Living Things and their Habitats' and 'Evolution and Inheritance'.

History & Geography

In our topic this term we will be exploring the life and times of the Anglo Saxons, Vikings and the Scots.

Religious Education

In RE we will be focusing on 'Beliefs in Action' and 'Bible Explorer'. 


This half term, we will be doing 'Animation' and 'Graphical Modelling' with a small focus on E-Saftey. 

Art & Design Technology

We will be desiging and making our own dragon sculptures and purses/ wallets.
