Starting Year 6 by Lucy and Carys
Date: 6th Oct 2017 @ 12:44pm
Starting Year 6 was hard for everyone with a new classroom and a new teacher. It is different but we are all settled now.
Coming into school in the morning we get down to our morning activities. Then in English we have been focusing on our book 'Trash' by Andy Mulligan. To write good pieces of text, we have been practising our SPaG skills, such as active and passive sentences. Over the last week we have been writing balanced arguments.
At breaktimes we have been looking after our new buddies and taking good care of them, running around and playing games. Collecting acorns too!
In Maths we have been working hard, practising our rounding, coloumn addition and subtraction. We have also been doing our times tables and mental maths. We have to think hard and get our head down.
