Reading Evening 16th May 2018

On Wednesday 16th May, we will be having another information evening for parents. This time the focus will be reading, explaining how reading is taught in school and how you can support your children at home. There will be a KS1 session in the hall running from 5-6:15pm with a focus on reading expectations, application of phonics, fluency, reading diet and comprehension skills. The KS2 session will run from 7-8:15pm in the hall with a focus on reading expectations, comprehension skills and reading diet. Both sessions will consider ways parents can support at home. KS1 and KS2 teachers will be offering workshops in class from 6:15 - 6:45pm. Nursery and Reception parents are more than welcome to come along to the KS1 presentation and Reception and Nursery teachers will be offering a workshop in class from 4:30 - 5pm also.

The sessions in the hall will be run by English consultants from The Literacy Company who have a wealth of experience and knowledge.
