Welcome to Squirrels Nursery
The early year’s team at Tattenhall Park Primary School consists of experienced teachers and teaching assistants who are skilled in early years teaching. They understand the needs of the young children and how best to create an environment to enable a love of learning.
All practitioners work towards a shared goal, to ensure that every child achieves their full potential. The Statutory framework for the early year’s foundation stage states four guiding principles which shape the practice in the early years. These are:
• Every child is a unique child, who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured;
• Children can be strong and independent through positive relationships;
• Children learn and develop well in enabling environments and there is a strong partnership between practitioners and parents.
• Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates. The ways in which the child engages with other people and their environment underpin learning and development across all areas.
We welcome children into Squirrels Nursery the term after their 3rd birthday. We have 3 intake sessions: Autumn (4th September), Spring (8th January) and Summer (15th April).
