Year 5/6 Maths Curriculum

For Maths, we use the White Rose planning which is then supported using other high quality materials from resources which align with White Rose. We focus on securing fluency skills before deepening our learning through reasoning and problem solving. 

Times Tables

We have a school subscription to Times Tables Rockstars which is an online program which children can play games and compete to have the quickest time. From year 4, children should be able to answer multiplication questions up to 12 times in 6 seconds and this website supports this. You can access TT Rockstars on a computer, tablet or phone. https://play.ttrockstars.com/auth

A popular game in Y5/6 is called '4nums' https://www.4nums.com/ where the children use their knowledge of the four operations to make the anser 24 using each of their given numbers.
